Questions procurement teams
actually ask.

Answered plainly — company model, commercial terms, logistics and inspection. If you have a question not covered here, the trading desk will answer it directly.

Section 01

Company & Model

  • No. We are an independent brokerage. We connect verified refinery allocation holders with international buyers on transparent terms. This structure keeps our incentives aligned with the buyer.

  • Registered in England and Wales; head office in Lincoln, United Kingdom. Correspondence banking and trade finance are arranged through international counterparties.

  • Yes. Every counterparty is screened against UK, EU, US OFAC and UN sanctions lists before an SPA is issued. We do not proceed with any transaction that presents an unacceptable compliance risk.

Section 02

Commercial

  • SBLC or DLC MT700 issued from a top-50 world bank is the standard. TTO / TTV against inspected cargo is available on established relationships. TT after discharge is not offered.

  • A first cargo, typically 50–100% of a monthly programme, executed on the same commercial terms as the long-term contract. It lets the buyer verify execution before committing to a rolling contract.

  • Product-dependent. A single ISO tank for base oil, a Panamax parcel for dry bulk industrial products, or a partial cargo for LNG. We do not publish minimums — we quote to the buyer's requirement.

  • Either as a Platts-linked formula with agreed differential, or as a fixed price with a validity window. Both are set out in the SPA.

Section 03

Logistics & Inspection

  • SGS and Intertek at loadport and discharge port as standard. CIQ inspection is used where destination regulation requires it. All inspector reports are shared with the buyer.

  • CIF ASWP, FOB, DES, CFR, CPT and STS transfer are all handled. Charter party, marine insurance and port disbursements are managed on the buyer's behalf under CIF.

  • Yes, subject to route survey. We regularly move product to landlocked buyers via bonded rail and cross-border trucking with continuing SGS custody transfer.

  • In line with the Incoterm — at the ship's rail (FOB), at delivery (DES/CFR) or on inspected discharge (STS). All title transfers are documented and witnessed.
